Goal:  To assist the school in building a strong academic and values-based community, provide a forum to discuss parent, school and student issues & concerns, and raise funds. The Parents Association was formed in 1999.

Meetings

 First Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm for approximately one hour in the School Faculty Room with Sister Gail.  Upcoming PA activities and fundraisers are discussed followed by a school update and Q&A from Sister Gail.  All parents are encouraged to attend.

 10/8 (Thursday) – Parents Welcome Reception

Wine, beer, soda, water and appetizers/snacks in Lower Church - Tuition raffle - Chance to meet parents and school administrators

10/24 (Saturday) - Father/Daughter Luncheon Cruise

3-hour Hudson River cruise with lunch buffet, DJ, and dancing = Chance for Dads and their daughters to have a fun time

11/21 (Saturday) – Parent-Daughter Volunteer Day

Service is a part of the SVF experience.  Spend the day doing a volunteer project together!

1/22 (Friday) – Games/Rock Band/Karaoke Night

Play games in Lower Church - Chance for parents and classmates to compete informally

3/6 (Saturday) – Parent Dinner Dance, Auction and Horse Races

Dinner Dance for Parents in Lower Church - Silent Auction, “Night at the Races”, Raffle Baskets and 50/50 - Chance for current and past parents to enjoy an evening out and raise money for the school

4/25 (Sunday) – Mother/Daughter Luncheon

Luncheon at Sal Anthony’s in Little Italy - Raffle Baskets and 50/50  - Chance for moms, grandmothers, sisters, and daughters to feast together

2008-09:  The PA raised nearly $30,000 which was used to fund Emergency Financial Aid, Chapel renovations and teacher/staff gifts.  More than 25% of the parent community participated in meetings or events.
