Dear Saint Vincent Ferrer High School Alumnae and Friends,

        Hello! My name is Jessica Nordstrom and I am the new Director of Alumnae Affairs and Development Associate at SVF.  The position has been vacant for about a year, but I am happy to announce that the Alumnae and Development Office is active again. 

        Each day I am learning more and more about SVF and why so many of you have stayed connected and have contributed so generously to such a fine institution of learning. I’m looking forward to meeting the extended SVF community from both present and past.  I know I can learn much more about Ferrer’s history and traditions from your stories and memories.  There will be many opportunities for you to stay involved and reconnect with SVF.  Check the Alumnae and Development website for the most current information.

I am in the process of answering your e-mails and updating our database with current contact information. The Alumnae and Development website is currently under construction.  Once the site gets running again, I will update it regularly with the most current information about school happenings, alumnae events, ways to give, and contact information.  Thank you for your patience!

You may be wondering what has happened to our newsletter, The Green Door. It has not been published since Winter/Spring 2006, but I am in the process of putting together the comeback issue.  If you have any Alumnae Notes or other information you would like to add to the next or future issues, please let me know!  Also, if you are interested in planning an upcoming class reunion, I’d be happy to help you in any way with materials such as mailing lists and school letterhead. All that is needed to get started is some interest from the alumnae!

In addition to the role of alumnae liaison, I will also be assisting Sister Christine Cosgrove, O.P., Assistant Principal and Director of Advancement.  You can find more information on ways to give back to SVF on the website.  Your gifts support immediate needs of the school and students like our new Laptop Lab, as well as more long term projects, like our relationship with Saint Jeanne D’Arc High School in Benin, Africa.  The Ferrer Family is so grateful for your continuous generosity, involvement, and support.  THANK YOU!!!
